We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join the staff of our executive leadership team. The ideal candidate will be extremely adaptable and flexible, has the knack for creatively solving problems, sees communication as a must, and is always up for a challenge.

What will you be doing?

  • Overseeing scheduling (including coordinating on-site and off-site meetings);
  • Helping our ELT (executive leadership team) with various administrative tasks and projects;
  • Coordinating business trips (flights, housing, and other accommodations) as our ELT members frequently travel;
  • Participating in meetings to produce concise and informative meeting minutes and clear action items;
  • Assisting and supporting a variety of ELT processes, ceremonies, and projects;
  • Special Projects: an executive role at a start-up includes gap filling for special projects across the organization. As a force multiplier to our leadership team, you will be involved in a variety of projects spanning all parts of Surprise.com. These projects could include location-based campaigns, internal initiatives, new market explorations, leading a team for a few weeks before a new leader is found, and more. Basically the things that are most important and/or requiring the leadership team’s time will be the things you are involved with.

What we are looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated academic achievement (e.g. honors, Dean’s list, etc);
  • 4 years of experience working as an executive or personal assistant;
  • C1 (Advanced) proficiency in English with both strong written and verbal skills;
  • Prolific computer literacy – to succeed in this role you have to be an advanced user of technology (iOS / Mac ecosystem preferred) and business apps (Word, Excel, etc.);
  • Upbeat personality with a positive, can-do attitude;
  • Painstaking attention to detail;
  • Incredible work ethic with a strong internal drive to make an impact.

What skills will come in handy?

  • Ability to create order out of chaos. Hyper-organized but also flexible.
  • Career-focused and wanting to work hard in an impact-heavy role;
  • Experience working with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence).
