Field Officer at ACTED

Under the supervision of the Senior REACH Field Officer the incumbent is responsible for supporting the REACH team on field coordination, external relations and assessment activities.

FUNCTIONS

1. Support to all REACH field Operations
2. Provide overall coordination for the implementation of data collection activities in Luhansk oblast
3. Liaise with ACTED FLAT teams for implementation of data collection in Luhansk oblast

• Engage with local authorities on communication of all REACH related activities

1. Manage team and data collection teams during data collection activities
2. Conduct appraisals of enumerators

2. Support to the Assessment and Data Team
3. Support design of questionnaires in Russian language and testing in the field
4. Provide feedback on questionnaire and adequacy in local language

• Monitoring of all field related activities including reporting

1. Follow up on feedback from the data team on questionnaire during data cleaning
2. Plan capacity building events based on requests from partners
3. External relation and coordination
4. Represent REACH at coordination forums in Severodonetsk
5. Engage with local and regional activities in Luhansk oblast

• Present REACH assessment findings and act as a focal point for local authorities in Luhansk

1. Follow up with data and GIS team on requests from local authorities
2. Facilitate events with authorities to analyze assessment findings

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree in social sciences, political sciences, law, research, data analysis or other relevant field.
• At least 2 years of previous experience in the humanitarian or development field with managerial, research, data collection and/or data processing and analysis functions
• Previous experience with international or local aid organizations desirable
• Experience in working with local government authorities desirable
• Previous experience in humanitarian sphere is desirable.
• Professional fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian (both oral and written).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Flexibility and desire to learn new tools.
• Attention to details.
• Strong team player.
• Ability to work under pressure and competing deadlines.
• Readiness to business trips.
