Marketing Manager at Alliance for Public Health

JOB PURPOSE: to be responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans for PEPFAR/USAID funded HealthLink project including marketing of HIV detection and treatment services, advertising providers of medical and social services, promoting services of the virtual clinic, and completing other tasks related to marketing of health products, services, and safer and healthier behaviors. The manager’s duties will be a balanced combination of management tasks and actual implementation of marketing activities. 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• At least five years of experience in marketing;
• Good understanding of social marketing;
• Excellent communication skills in Ukrainian, Russian and English;
• Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels;
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively;
• Strong analytical, budgeting and project management skills;
• Professional judgment and discretion based on extensive experience;
• Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges;
• Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.;
• Relevant degree in marketing, communication, business or another related field;  
• Strong commitment to confronting HIV/AIDS and motivation to work. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• conceptual and strategic analysis of the Alliance marketing tasks;
• prioritization, selection of the most suitable channels and media, setting terms of reference for specific promotional activities, performing the implementation of prioritized specific tasks and/or managing and coordinating marketing and creative consultants, colleagues involved in demand generation and other relevant activities, media organizations and advertising agencies;
• normalize regular HIV testing generally among sexually active population and among population groups most vulnerable to HIV infection;
• generate increasing demand for HIV testing and treatment services offered in healthcare facilities and in community settings, particularly among populations at high risk of HIV infection including people who inject drugs and men who have sex with men;
• generate demand among healthcare workers for training and participation in HIV detection and care programs, in collaboration with community outreach and social workers and case managers;
• develop effective strategies for testing of sexual partners and risk networks of detected HIV-positive people;
• adequately and effectively present the activities and achievements of the Alliance to donors and other stakeholders; 
• actively explore funding sources and partnerships for sustainable continuation of marketing efforts aimed at overcoming the HIV epidemic.
