Policy Analyst performs the following tasks:
– Deliver research:
- Upon request from SURGe management, analyze economic sectors, various aspects of governance and GoU processes;
- Develop and deliver daily briefing material for SURGe management on Ukraine’s macroeconomic and political developments, news on key reform areas;
- Together with SURGe management and Sector Leads, analyze incoming requests from GoU for technical assistance;
- Develop presentations, reports, concept notes on reform areas;
– Participate in assessment of impact of reforms on citizens and business:
- Collect statistical and other data for analysis;
- As per the agreed methodology, together with SURGe management and Sector Leads, participate in the assessment of the impact of reforms on citizens and business;
– Coordinate preparation for meetings, and follow-up after meetings:
- Coordinate preparation of materials for meetings;
- Upon request of SURGe management, attend meetings with Government counterparts, provide interpreting (languages: English, Ukrainian), take notes;
- Coordinate implementation of decisions within SURGe: preparation and sending of follow-up materials, development of agreements;
– Contribute to development of work plans and budgets.
Level of Effort: Full time, Monday-Friday.
The expert will be based in Agriteam Office in Kyiv (18 Sofiivska Street)
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
• Min 5 years of experience in investment banking, consultancy, macroeconomic research, policy analysis, reform offices;
• Ability to collect and interpret statistical and other data, develop clear and concise reports and presentations;
• English fluency is an absolute requirement. Ability to interpret at meetings. Excellent writing skills in English;
• Excellent PowerPoint skills, ability to quickly deliver a presentation;
• Emotional maturity, intelligence, ability to operate in multi-stakeholder environment and participate in high-level Government meetings;
• Project management skills: ability to organize execution of tasks in the most efficient way;
• Master’s Degree in Economics, Business, Law, Political Science, International Development or another relevant discipline;
• Citizen of Ukraine.
