IREX and Veteran Hub are pleased to invite you to a conversation with U.S. veteran employment experts.

What will be?

At the event you will learn:

  • how American organizations have built coalitions of veteran-ready employers;
  • how employers have recruited, trained, and retained veterans in their workforce;
  • what challenges they have encountered and how they have overcome them;
  • what takeaways they can share with others looking to create successful veteran employment initiatives.

There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion, so bring your questions about veteran employment to the event.

Who are the speakers?

Eric Eversole is a vice president at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and president of Hiring Our Heroes, a program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Eversole strategically engages the program’s private- and public-sector partners in an effort to connect businesses to the talented men and women transitioning out of the military as well as their spouses.

Nick Tran is Manager, Community and Veteran Affairs for Schlumberger Limited. Before this role Nick served as Manager of Veteran Programs, Human Resources for Cameron, a Schlumberger Company where he was responsible for providing strategic leadership for Cameron’s development and implementation of a veterans program with a focus on veteran community outreach, career development and veteran recruitment initiatives.

Colonel Matthew F. Amidon is the Director of the Military Service Initiative at the George W. Bush Institute. Colonel Amidon leads the day to day efforts of the Military Service Initiative and the team leading our policy and programmatic work on veteran transition.

John Boerstler is the founder of Combined Arms, a nonprofit that works to unite the veteran and civilian community in order to accelerate the impact of veterans on the cities they return to by increasing accountability, speed, and efficiency by which veteran serving organizations deliver services. With John’s involvement in Stand-To, he is working to build and scale the Combined Arms model that communities can use to ensure that no veteran ever falls through the cracks in social services again.

The event will be in English, with simultaneous translation into Ukrainian. To participate you need to register.
