In October 2019, Agriteam Canada launched a new five-year project in Ukraine: Support to Ukraine’s Reforms for Governance (SURGe).
SURGe’s Ultimate Outcome is to help the Government of Ukraine (GoU) to deliver governance and economic reforms that better respond to the needs of its citizens. To achieve this, the Project will strategically enhance and strengthen the GoU’s reform management functions, namely its capacity to undertake planning and analysis of reforms that consider citizen impact, and to implement these reforms.
Background and position summary:

to technical experts – to critical reform initiatives undertaken by national governmental agencies. PRSM is a multi-donor platform that improves coordination of donor efforts for greater impact and avoids overlap of donor funding. It does not support the routine work of the Government of Ukraine that is normally managed by the civil service.
At the request of a GoU ministry, the PRSM recruits short to medium term local Ukrainian experts and
specialists, from outside government, to undertake assignments critical to reform within the GoU. The
PRSM will also pay for limited-term salaries of key positions from within the army of volunteers that
currently work without pay on reforms across government ministries.
For PRSM, SURGe Project is looking for a Chief Accountant who will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting process (including month-end and year-end closes) of an NGO.
