You’ll be working on Wizz, a social app specifically designed for 18+, boasting over 3 million monthly active users in the US and UK. Wizz is a chat app where young people can safely express themselves and connect with like-minded peers in an authentic, pressure-free environment. Lead the backend team at Wizz of 4 Senior Backend Engineer, be responsible of the strategy <\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Own the backend architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability for millions of users.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Collaborate closely with product teams to shape and influence product decisions with a strong technical perspective.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Design, implement, deploy, and maintain highly scalable and available backend systems, including features that enhance user safety and content moderation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Integrate and manage third-party services (e.g., analytics, moderation, cloud tools) to ensure a secure and seamless user experience.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Define and promote best practices in reliability, observability, and infrastructure management.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Contribute to backend infrastructure evolution, ensuring that it supports rapid product iterations, responsible growth, and a safe environment for our users.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Improve system performance and scalability, particularly around high-traffic distributed systems.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Passion for the mobile consumer industry<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Be fluent in French<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Excellent back-end programming skills (5+ years experience)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Interest in Node.JS (vanilla)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Professional GCP or AWS expertise\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Experience building APIs<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Experience with high traffic and distributed systems architectures<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Familiarity with services & technologies used in our Stack<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
