We are happy to announce our search for a Project Manager, who will work together with our other project staff to achieve the goals that Beetroot Academy has set out together with our partners.
We are in a phase of rapid expansion, which includes bringing our world-class education to all corners of Ukraine and scaling up every aspect of our operation, which includes several projects in partnership with a number of different organizations.
The Project Manager will be working in a team of initially 3-4 members, responsible for managing Beetroot Academy’s partnership projects with organizations and businesses. Among many things, this includes monitoring project plans, schedules, budgets, and expenditures, organizing and participating in meetings, building and maintaining partnerships, ensuring that project deadlines are met, and ensuring compliance.
We’re looking for a person with:
First of all, we are looking for candidates with a lot of empathy, a non-hierarchical world-view, strong initiative, the ability to drive processes forward, a belief in the power of education and our mission. Additionally, candidates should also have:
— A minimum of 1-2 years of Project Management experience
— Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
— Ability to work on tight deadlines
— Effectively cooperate with a wide range of international and Ukrainian partners
— Able to occasionally work uncomfortable hours and ready to travel, when necessary
— Native Ukrainian and Russian language skills
— Excellent verbal and oral English language proficiency
— And competency in applications such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Beetroot Academy is growing fast and which means many things are evolving and the exact responsibilities and role of the Project Manager will develop over time as the organization and team grow, but to start we see the following responsibilities:
— Beetroot Academy Project Manager and main contact person for project WINGS (www.pactworld.org/country/ukraine/project) and other GAC (www.international.gc.ca/…ome-accueil.aspx?lang=eng) funded projects in Ukraine
— Together with team members take responsibility for all existing partnership projects as well as proactively developing new partnerships
— Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
— Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings
— Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings
— Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings
— Ensuring project deadlines are met
— Determining project changes
— Providing administrative support as needed
— Undertaking project tasks as required
— Developing project strategies
— Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
— Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable
— Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution
— Develop and maintain project management tools for fulfilling project goals and objectives
