ENGin is looking for an evaluator to score an online test of spoken English. We will provide video recordings of students speaking in English, and a detailed rubric to use. You will score each sample according to the rubric.
This is a fully virtual role. We are looking for a commitment of 20-40 hours/week – you choose the hours. Salary is $300-$600/month.
Who we are: ENGin is a peer-to-peer English language program connecting English learners age 13-22 to volunteers who are fluent in English for free online language practice. We have over 6,000 participants and are growing rapidly. One of our major priorities for this year is measuring our program impact. We have tested about 300 participants when they begin the program and again 3 months later. After scoring all of these tests, we will be able to see how much students improve on average.
Who we’re looking for: Our ideal candidate will have experience with assessment and evaluation and/or experience teaching English as a Foreign Language. English fluency, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, positive attitude are key.
