The purpose of this role:

As a member of the Teaching Centre Operations team, the post holder contributes to the smooth and efficient operational running of the Teaching Centre by coordinating a range of key operational tasks, as well as supporting the wider aims of the British Council and its cultural relations mission.

Main opportunities/challenges for this role:

  • This role requires analytical thinking skills and good organizational skills. Attention to detail, good time-management, and high levels of professionalism are also essential.
  • The post holder will be expected to work independently and collaboratively in seeking to meet the needs of a variety of internal and external stakeholders, each with their own specific concerns and interests.
  • In addition, the post holder will be expected to be pro-active and customer-orientated with excellent communication and computing skills.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Providing a regular supply of myClass instances through effective management of the online lesson booking system
  • Monitoring and analysing of class fill data. Controlling and adjusting the timetable for myClass by collating customer behavior reports
  • Monitoring and controlling myClub attendance and communication (myClub is the social add-on feature of myClass)
  • Ensuring prompt communication for submitting and marking assignments as part of myClass writing lessons
  • Organising cover in cases of teacher absences. Maintaining cover log
  • (Technical) Creating of timetables and teacher resource management throughout the academic year in a way that maximises efficiency. Distributing and monitoring teachers’ registers (in line with audit requirements)
  • Preparing data for (and conducting) initial analysis of teacher/classroom utilisation
  • Performing all necessary HR functions within the Teaching Centre for all HP teachers including processing HP teacher pay; preparing and reviewing HP teacher contracts
  • Providing support in organising and administering TC events
  • Carrying out any other requirements in the interest of operations, as agreed with the Teaching Centre Operations Management

Skills, experience and qualifications for the advertised vacancy:

Minimum / essential

  • English at C1 level
  • Fluent Ukrainian and Russian
  • University degree or equivalent

  • Experience of working in a team
  • Experience with administrative documentation
  • Financial documentation
  • Accuracy/attention to detail
  • Computing skills (MS Office, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member

Desirable

  • Experience of working in the English Language sector
