The British Council, a leading international cultural organisation, is recruiting a full-time Teaching Centre Commercial Operation Assistant to support the organisation and delivery of the B2B, B2G and B2I contracts, as well as to support the wider aims of British Council and its cultural relations mission.

Main opportunities/challenges for this role. This role requires analytical thinking and good organisational skills. Attention to detail and a high level of professionalism is also essential. In addition, the post holder will be expected to be pro-active and customer-oriented with excellent communication and computing skills.

Main Accountabilities:
  • Administrative support with large ELT projects: monitoring milestones and prompting teachers to submit necessary paperwork in line with project plans; collating data to contribute to project reporting criteria, etc.
  • Work in close cooperation with the Commercial and Business Development Manager to provide a high standard of customer service to existing B2B and B2G group and individual clients, including support in preparing commercial proposals for potential clients
  • Support the NATO Resettlement Programme (i.e. serve as contact point for potential students, provide administrative support for ongoing courses)
  • Check and report on Corporate Teachers’ pay claims
  • Processing HR functions for HP Corporate Teachers (contract preparation and review, overview of completion of mandatory trainings, maintenance of HR files, etc.)
  • Assisting with timetabling teachers/trainers for the courses, keeping timetable up-to-date
  • Placement test organisation for commercial sector clients
  • Preparing registers/certificates for commercial sector
  • Ensure proper documentation with corporate clients (contracts, invoices, acts of acceptance, etc.) is arranged timely and accurately
  • Serve as the major contact point for sponsored students (company-sponsored regular public courses (RPC) students), and follow the necessary documentation and registration stages, including follow-up
Skills, experience and qualifications for the advertised vacancy:

Essential:

  • English at a minimum of B2 (Upper Intermediate) level
  • Fluent written and spoken Ukrainian and Russian
  • University Degree
  • Minimum of 1-year experience working with customers via phone, email, face-to-face
  • Minimum of 1-year experience providing administrative support to an organisation and working with administrative documents

Desirable:

  • Experience in working with corporate customers and/or governmental institutions
  • Experience working in CRM (Customer Relationship Management System)

Role Specific Skills:

  • Accuracy and attention to details
  • Effective communication and engagement with customers, students and teachers
  • Computer Skills (Office365 applications, including proficient use of Excel)
