Team Selection and Onboarding: A Step-by-Step Insight

The journey from candidate to Kyivstar employee involves several steps:

  1. Introduction. Send your CV, share your expectations, and learn more about the position from the recruiter.
  2. Interview with the Manager. During an online interview, the manager will provide all details about the role and the team.
  3. Job Offer. If you and the company are a match, you will be invited to join the Kyivstar team.

From your first day at Kyivstar, you are already part of the team. Every employee is valued and essential to the company, so a lot is done to ensure newcomers feel welcome, adapt effortlessly, and hear the words, ‘YOU ARE ONE OF US.’

In addition, the newcomer is supported by a Kolezhanka (aka buddy) in the chat from the very first day at the company. She provides useful information and assists for the first three months. Furthermore, the manager receives seven emails with recommendations to ease the adaptation of the new employee within the first three months.

On the first working day, newcomers will complete the onboarding process, receive the necessary equipment, materials, and remote work access, enjoy a company tour, get access to the Kyivstar Guide, and receive their Welcome Box.

Katia Melnyk,
Senior Specialist of Employee Mental Health Support
I had no fears about the onboarding process, but I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was simple and quick (without unnecessary bureaucratic procedures). The time it took to get to the office was longer than the onboarding process itself. The onboarding process was easy and clear with the support of colleagues. The atmosphere in the company helps with smooth adaptation. You can always reach out for advice or with a question. The key challenge for a newcomer is to absorb information gradually and avoid overwhelming themselves by trying to do everything at once. It is essential to stay in sync, take a 5-minute pause to recharge, and have the energy for new accomplishments.
