Pact Inc. is implementing a USAID-funded project Community Action for HIV Control. The project goal is to accelerate Ukraine’s efforts to achieve HIV epidemic control by 2030 by improved prevention, testing and linkage to care among key and priority populations.

Pact seeks a psychological support consultant who will provide long-term assistance for implementing mental health and psychosocial support services to targeted audience including key and priority (KP/PP) populations affected by HIV, other vulnerable population in selected communities affected by war and NGO staff.

Scope of work:

The consultant will be providing technical expertise, development and technical support for long-term assistance for implementing mental health and psychosocial support services to targeted audience including key and priority (KP/PP) populations affected by HIV, other vulnerable population in selected communities affected by war and NGO staff. Reporting to the DCOP s/he will equip Project with advice and recommendation to ensure delivery of mental health psychological support services for target audience. The STTA will help to achieve assigned targets and contribute to the overall program implementation.

Specific Deliverables

By March 1, 2024:

  • Prepare a questionnaire for situation analysis of MHPSS services at NGO level
  • Participate in the creation of a draft SOW for national partners who will perform MH educational program and training curricula

By April 1, 2024:

  • Participate in the committee for the selection of a national partners
  • Participate in the drafting contract process with the selected bidder by providing recommendations
  • To oversee and provide recommendation on development of training curriculum and selection of participants

By May 1, 2024:

  • To supervise training program
  • To support launching intervision session and Community of Practices for trained psychologist and case managers

By June 1, 2024:

  • To supervise training program
  • To support intervision session and Community of Practices for trained psychologist and case managers

By July 1, 2024:

  • To supervise training program
  • To support intervision session and Community of Practices for trained psychologist and case managers
  • Participate in the creation of a draft SOW for MHPSS related stigma assessment

By August 1, 2024:

  • To supervise training program
  • To support intervision session and Community of Practices for trained psychologist and case managers
  • Participate in the committee for the selection of the assessment institution

By September 1, 2024:

  • To support intervision session and Community of Practices for trained psychologist and case managers
  • To oversee assessment study of MHPSS related stigma and development of study report

By October 1, 2024:

To prepare final report and list of recommendation for the further MHPSS intervention

Requirements:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience providing similar services, outstanding technical expertise and excellence in customer service.
  • Higher education, in psychology, public health or social studies.
  • Experience in managing training program in the field of mantal health and/or psychology
  • Experience of work in non-profits sector with mental health and psychosocial services.
  • Experience of work with international organizations and technical projects.
  • Experience in the field of HIV/AIDS would be an assests.
  • Ability to work effectively, often under tight deadlines, and deliver a quality product in a professional manner.
  • Interpersonal skills, punctuality, discipline and mindfulness
