Deloitte is seeking qualified candidates to serve as Communications Specialist  in support of the USAID Health Reform Support (HRS) project. The position is full-time and will be based in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Project Background and Summary:

The purpose of the USAID Health Reform Support is to support a transparent, accountable, and effective health care system that is capable of meeting the health needs of the Ukrainian people. Advancing health sector reforms, enhancing transparency, and tackling corruption will reduce out-of-pocket payments and improve access and availability of high quality, evidence-based health care services for Ukrainians. Elimination of corruption is a cross-cutting theme across all objectives to be achieved by this activity, which include:

  1. Improve health sector governance.
  2. Support the transformation of the healthcare financing model.
  3. Strengthen the health workforce.
  4. Enhance transparency, accountability and responsiveness of the health care system.
  5. Improve service delivery system at all levels.

Background/Objective

The Communications Specialist will support the Project Communications Lead across all communications and administrative needs.

Scope of Services
Communications services will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Develop the project’s informational materials consistent with relevant templates and guidelines: newsletters, info bullets, social media publications, and articles describing the project’s achievements
  • Take part in the coordination of the work of designers, photographers, videographers, and other partners in producing high-quality visual content
  • Foster relationships and communicate the project’s work to internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with technical team to brainstorm content ideas in line with the project’s activities and in support of various initiatives that promote these activities
  • Build and maintain relationships with media; handle requests for interviews, statements, etc.
  • Collaborate with the communication team in reaching media with updates on the project’s news and results, as well as preparing press releases and media packages/press kits
  • Provide communication support to the project’s events: conferences, presentations, etc.

Qualifications

  • No less than 2 years of proven work experience as Communications Specialist
  • Strong reporting capabilities
  • Any reform communication experience will be an asset
  • Advanced working proficiency in English and Ukrainian
  • Advanced writing skills in English and Ukrainian
  • Critical thinker, analytically minded, and intellectually curious
  • Data and monitoring skills/experience
