Project Coordinator for Youth Empowerment – Part-time (20 hours/week) in Kyiv, Ukraine – from April 2024 (remote work possible)
Join the ranks of Stiftung Schüler Helfen Leben (SHL), Germany’s largest youth-led foundation, as we expand our operations in Ukraine. We are currently seeking a dedicated and talented individual to fill the role of a project coordinator based in Kyiv (or working remotely from other Ukrainian cities).
At SHL, we organize the renowned Social Day, where over 60,000 high school students raise funds to support peers in Southeast Europe, Jordan, and Ukraine. As we establish our second office outside Germany, we are eager to bring on board an exceptional professional like yourself.
This role offers a diverse scope and is structured as a local staff position for a duration of twelve months (extension is preferred, provided that sufficient funding is available). In this position, you will play a crucial role in establishing a youth empowerment program in Ukraine. The focus of this program is on encouraging youth activism through informal youth education and the implementation of a small grants program. Thus, the program supports youth who want to play an active role in their society. It is designed to strengthen their skills for effective civic engagement, e.g. through seminars on relevant political or social topics as well as capacity building topics like project management.
