SRE team with the goals: Maintaining a warehouse management system for a UK retailer (19 various services written mostly in Scala with some Java/JS code).
– Deploying those services to warehouses Providing 24/7 support (in office and out of office hours) of applications – paid extra
– Maintenance includes security updates, bugfixes, performance improvements, configuration changes, internal documentation updating – Planning and building a contemporary documentation system that would help us take in more services with a small team.
– Improving observability platform around these services.
Team of 5 (4 developers and Team leader)
8 AM to 4 PM UK time
Support rota – daily in a cycle with other team members. (flexible schedule, you can change days with other team members)
There is a 24/7 support rota, with each team member covering a week in the cycle. The schedule is flexible, allowing you to change days, weeks, etc., with other team members.
We are looking for a Scala Developer.
Probation Period Goals:
First Month: Successful onboarding to code/apps domain
Second Month: Successful onboarding to daily support (backlog tasks and in-office hours support)
Third Month: Successful onboarding to out-of-office support.
