Who we’re looking for
OpenMinds is seeking a talented and dedicated Quantitative Sociologist to join our team and play a crucial role in understanding the nuts & bolts of Russian society and analysing the impact of our work.
In this position, you will:
- Design, plan, and conduct surveys & online experiments (randomised controlled trials) to understand the causal impact of our work
- Analyse and interpret data using various statistical techniques, identifying patterns, trends, and insights
- Create comprehensive written reports based on data findings, presenting clear and actionable recommendations to the team/external stakeholders
- Collaborate with a diverse team of experts, contributing to the development and implementation of strategies
We are a perfect match if you have:
- MA/PhD degree in Social and Behavioural Sciences, or similar fields with a focus on quantitative skill
- Proven experience in designing and conducting quantitative research projects
- Proficiency in using data analysis and visualisation tools (SPSS/Python/R/Excel)
- C1 or higher in written and spoken English and Russian
- Proficient knowledge of Russian society and cultural dynamics will be an advantage
- Experience of working on projects related to communications, social change, threat & disinfo detection will be an advantage
