EF is seeking applications from qualified candidates to serve as Communications Assistant for the Digital Transformation Activity (DTA) in Ukraine. Funded by USAID and UK Dev, DTA aims to bolster Ukraine’s digital transformation to promote the nation’s economic revitalization, transparency in reconstruction, and democratic governance during the ongoing conflict and beyond.
The Communications Assistant assists in the creation and dissemination of clear, concise, and engaging communications materials, ensuring that all communications reflect DTA’s goals. The Communications Assistant executes and coordinates the range of administrative procedures needed for the DTA Communications Unit operations. The Communications Assistant reports to the Communications Lead.
This position is open to Ukrainian citizens and is contingent upon funding. Qualified candidates are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
Essential Functions
- Support the implementation of DTA communications strategy and annual communications plans.
- Maintain program’s social media presence (Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn), ensure timely updates in line with the social media calendar of contents, and responses to users’ requests and/or comments.
- Ensures proper storage of all DTA communication products at the DTA web-resources, their accessibility to the program team and timely updating.
- Executes posting and updates of contents on the DTA website, coordinates with the website developers/technical support on all technical-related matters.
- Provides timely administrative support to the DTA Communications Unit subscriptions to digital tools and programs.
- Assists with various logistics aspects of public events organization and execution, including maintaining of administrative-related documentation in line with the procurement policies and requirements.
- Executes administrative related procedures regarding the selection of Communications Unit contractors, ensuring close cooperation with the Procurement Unit and alignment with its policies and requirements.
- Contributes to the creation of various communications content (infographics, booklets, brochures, news, posts, videos, etc.).
- Contributes to the program reporting by providing analytics regarding DTA’s social media channels.
- Provides other communications and administrative support to the Communications Lead and Communications Unit overall, as requested.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, international relations, political science, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in communications, in particular, executing social media management, following social media trends (Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn) and experience in applying new features is required.
- Native Ukrainian fluency required; advanced English writing and spoken proficiency required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) strongly preferred.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in internationally funded donor projects preferred.
- Experience with website design and/or maintenance preferred.
