The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral, and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance. The ICRC is mandated to work in countries affected by armed conflict or other situations of violence. The ICRC is present in over 100 countries and has 18,000 staff worldwide. About the job

The ICRC Economic Security Unit is seeking a highly capable Economic Security (EcoSec) Generalist – Project Management and Administrative Support for Humanitarian Assistance) to join our team in Kyiv. The EcoSec Generalist is responsible for administrative support and contributes to planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting humanitarian assistance related to relief, livelihood support, and capacity building.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of EcoSec projects and programs
  • Design and adjust data-collection tools and forms
  • Manage and support data collection while ensuring appropriate data entry and maintenance
  • Perform mid-level qualitative and quantitative data analysis, present and interpret results, and produce data visualizations
  • Contribute to identifying response options based on an analysis of EcoSec core components (food consumption/production, living conditions, income support and capacity-building)
  • Contribute to the development of implementation methods, plans, logistics, and reporting for the
  • Contribute to designing and implementing relief, livelihood support, microeconomics, and capacity-building projects and programs
  • Act as the focal point internally and externally for activities related to cooperation with the Ukrainian Red Cross Society
  • Contribute to internal reporting and provide translating/interpreting and administrative support

About you

To be successful as an Economic Security (EcoSec) Generalist in the Economic Security Unit, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:

  • Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
  • High school diploma, technical education, or professional or university degree in economics, management, or another related field
  • Typically, 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a similar field of activity
  • Experience working for an NGO or international organization is an asset
  • Good command (spoken and written) of English and Ukrainian
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
  • Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
