Ukraine has been at war since February 2022, and civilians still continue suffering from air attacks on infrastructure, challenging economic situations, and their personal challenges as leaving everything behind and moving to a safer places. Thus, the strategy of Mercy Corps Ukraine Response focuses on economic opportunities for war-affected Ukrainians and establishing peace and good governance.
Mercy Corps supports conflict-affected populations with swift and sustained humanitarian assistance and community-driven investments that strengthen local partnerships, promote economic resilience and innovation, and build a more just and inclusive society.
A Multimedia Intern will be a part of Mercy Corps Communications team. The objective of our communication in Ukraine is to elevate awareness about Mercy Corps, engage local communities, and showcase Mercy Corps’ humanitarian impact in Ukraine through diverse communication channels. In our communication, we strive to encompass local communities, partners in Ukraine, international partners, and our colleagues in Mercy Corps both in Ukraine, and globally.
The work of the Communications team involves:
The Intern will be working on creating and leading a social media campaign to highlight our ERP (Economic Resilience Program) and LIVES (Locally led, Inclusive and Versatile Emergency Support to Conflict Affected Populations in Ukraine) programs with a goal to increase awareness and engagement.
