Nature of Consultancy: Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and direct supervision of the Migration Health Project Officer, the Intern will contribute to the implementation of the Medical Unit’s Programmes through performing the following tasks

Core Functions / Responsibilities:
  1. Perform data entry of the content of eMedical forms into MIMOSA database.
  2. Verify data entry of Canadian files in eMedical and in MIMOSA.
  3. Coordinate with responsible colleague the timely updating of medical files.
  4. Copy and scan completed medical files by migration health physicians, correct missing data and archive copies of medical files.
  5. Schedule migrants for health assessment according to instruction given by the supervising medical officer.
  6. Perform general logistical and administrative tasks.
  7. Provide translations/interpretations to/from English/Ukrainian/Russian languages.
  8. Assist in organizing the Medical Units’ filing system, following IOM general guidelines.
  9. Perform such other duties as may be assigned

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in sociology, political science, international relations or from a health related field would be an advantage.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience

  • Experienced with organizational and administrative duties.
  • Knowledge of public health is advantageous.

Languages

  • Fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian is required.
