Translation Specialist at Musixmatch

Musixmatch is searching for passionate and attentive music fans to join our Studio as Translations Specialist.  A skilled transcribers & translators with a great attention to detail and process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the entire life-cycle of multiple translations projects in a fast-paced environment
• Creating/maintaining translations process documents, including style guides
• Providing attractive and creative translations
• Review and edit community metadata for accuracy and completeness
• Partner w/ our community & internal teams to improve processes on translations
• Prioritizes content creation and verification based on our B2B client demand
• Reports to Content Managers

REQUIREMENTS:

• Native speaker of either of the following languages (English, Hindi, Nepali, Punjabi, Telugu ,Tamil, Spanish, Spanish – México, Korean, Italian, French, German, Chinese, Chinese Traditional, Taiwanese, Thai, Brazil – Portuguese, Portugal –  Portuguese, Japanese, Malay, Russian, Swedish, Arabic, Indonesian)
• Fluency in a foreign language is preferred
• 1+ years’ experience in your native language localization, translation, or writing/ editing
• 3+ years’ experience as an editor, copy editor, or writer in digital media context
• Comfort with Spreadsheets
• Strong sense of initiative, both when working independently and in collaboration with a team
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Keen on all types of music
• University Degree (preferably in linguistic/translation related studies)
