Role and responsibilities

Generic responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines, SOP’s and donor requirements
  • Implement delegated logistic functions portfolio according to Plan of Action
  • Conduct and follow up daily operational logistic activities
  • Support the administration of resources so that deliverables are achieved within set budgets, timelines and standards
  • Prepare and develop logistic reports as required by Country/Area office
  • Support in development of SOPs as requested
  • Ensure proper filing of all support documents
  • Promote and share ideas for improvement of the logistic function
  • Perform other duties, as assigned by Line Manager

Specific responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of Logistics as a support service in NRC Ukraine. Develop required areas according to NRC policy, guidelines and Ukraine legislation. Liaise with NRC People system.
  • Manage drivers, vehicles and ensure effective and timely logistics services following requests of corresponding CCs or support functions.
  • Provide support in testing, training of drivers and authorized staff.
  • Ensure timely, accurate and correct data entry into the fleet management system.
  • Make a Daily Movement Plan and send it to relevant staff one day before the specified date till 11:00.
  • Lead a Weekly Movement Plan creation process coordinating input from CCs and Support.
  • Submit daily , weekly, monthly reports of vehicle/fuel use; prepare statistical reports on usage/distribution of vehicles. Provide monthly fleet report for KPI filling in  Deliver Reporting App.
  • Ensure that the necessary information related to transport/fleet management is effectively shared and communicated to Logistics Coordinator
  • Prepare documents for payment of contracts when assigned by Line Manager
  • Report all potential fraud cases to the Line Manager.

  • Experience with fleet management in a humanitarian/recovery context
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile.
  • Working knowledge or communication in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Office software (Word, Excel).

Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Knowledge of the context in the areas NRC operates.
  • Working knowledge of both Ukrainian and Russian languages, written and verbal
  • Valid driving license B and desirable C
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff

We offer:

  • Type of contract: till the end of 2022, contingent upon availability of funds
  • Salary/benefits: According to NRC salary scale, terms and conditions.
  • Duty station: remote (and be decided for longer-term – Ivano-Frankivsk), Ukraine
