Opera is looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Manager to lead Opera’s Global Social Media team.

As a Social Media Manager your main task will be to create content for various social media platforms for various products. The ideal candidate is creative, proactive, well organized, and has previous working experience in Social Media Marketing. You will be an important part of contributing to Opera’s brand in the global market.

You will work closely with multiple teams, including the Product, Gaming, Crypto, Creative and Marketing Teams for planning, execution and optimisation of marketing activities such as influencer collaborations and social media campaigns. Cooperating with agency networks, influencers and brand partnerships will be essential to the success of your social media activities.

Main responsibilities

  • Manage the Global Social Media team
  • Own the social media strategies, supporting the various business units goals
  • Lead content creation for various social media platforms
  • Staying up to date with current trends & new social media opportunities, clear understanding of real time marketing
  • Work closely with product teams to market product & feature releases
  • Create innovative media plans to reach Opera’s diverse audiences
  • Market research for new products & features
  • Influencer management & activation campaigns creation for different products
  • Working across products on new marketing initiatives & product improvements
  • Budget planning, Ad creation, analyzing relevant KPIs & measuring performance of social media campaigns

Requirements

  • Previous experience within Social Media Marketing and content marketing (Minimum 2 years)
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends & best practices in social media and digital marketing
  • Previous experience with social media campaign and influencer management
  • Knowledge about influencer marketing, performance KPIs
  • Interest in trending topics such as Browsers, Privacy, Crypto, Gaming & Technology
  • Detail-oriented & effective time management in order to maintain processes
  • Excellent spoken & written English
  • Motivation to start projects, work independently & drive projects forward
  • Flexibility in terms of work hours
  • Excellent interpersonal & relationship building skills
  • Creativity & openness to new ideas to challenge status quo
  • Previous experience of working with product teams is a plus
  • Previous experience of working in tech, gaming, apps, or global marketing is definitely a plus
