Design an entire product category as Senior Category Manager (f/m/d) for the Pets product area to strengthen our Pets team in Munich or Berlin.
Key job responsibilities
Your professional challenge:
You are a manager for purchasing relationships – and yet much more than that: namely supplier manager, product specialist, online marketing specialist and seller in one person
As an entrepreneur in the company, you recognize trends, design marketing campaigns, develop new product groups and procure top products
For this you identify the suppliers and negotiate framework conditions nationally and internationally
You will have more responsibility, look after more suppliers and products and have more freedom than you are used to
They optimize existing processes and do everything they can to improve our customers’ shopping experience through better service, a wider variety of products, lower prices and greater availability
The performance of your product category determines your success. As a controller:in, you analyze relevant key figures including sales, create corresponding reports and monitor margins
You will work closely with your colleagues from Supply Chain Management, Amazon Vendor Service, Marketing, Legal and Finance
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
For this position we expect:
A completed (commercial) university degree
Several years of relevant B2C experience in e-commerce, purchasing, key account management or consulting
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Excellent user practice in Excel
Very good knowledge of German and English
PREFERENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Other qualifications are an advantage:
Excellent market and customer feel, combined with high innovative strength
Strong affinity to the world of figures, analyzes and reports
You already have experience in the FMCG environment, preferably in the pet food or pet non-food category
You will find your way in a dynamic work environment
You already have experience in technical management within a matrix organization
Strategic way of thinking and strong hands-on mentality
Lots of initiative, creativity, decisiveness and team spirit
