What will you do in this position?
The WFP Ukraine School Feeding Team is looking for a Programme Assistant (SC5) to join the team to support the overall implementation of its programme in Kyiv. The job holder will report to Programme Policy Officer or Programme Associate, the reporting lines may change depending on the size of the office. At this level job holders are expected to take responsibility for completion of a range of processes and activities related to monitoring that require some interpretation of standard guidelines/practices. Job holders are able to recommend a course of action to staff at various levels and may allocate tasks to other support staff.

How can you make a difference?
In this position, you will have to:
- Support the implementation of the school feeding programme aligning with wider programme policies and guidelines and providing administrative support and tracking progress.
- Perform specialized and/or standardised processes and activities within the specific technical area of work supporting alignment with wider programme policies and guidelines
- Provide general office support following established targets and WFP’s policies and procedures.
- Support the school feeding programme in compiling data, analysis and preparation of reports (e.g. programme needs, resource utilization, programme status, performance) in order to support operational decision-making.
- Perform accurate, timely recording of data within the school feeding programme following corporate standards and guidelines.
- Work and exchange information with internal counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities particularly the CBT, nutrition and monitoring unit.
- Support communication and activities with local partners, agencies, NGOs and government institutions.
- Any other related tasks.

Education: Minimum completion of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in International Relations, Politics, Education, or Social Policy.
Experience: Has at least 5 years of working experience; 2 years mandatory experience working in programme management, education, social protection, or administration role.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Has experience utilizing computers, including Microsoft Office package (e.g. Word, Excel) and other standard software packages and systems
- Has experience working with different types of external stakeholders at national and sub-national levels.
- Knowledge of the UN rules, procedures and regulations would be an asset
Language: Fluency (level C) in both in English and Ukrainian languages.
