Book Box is a B2B company providing reading as a service. We work in corporate EdTech and our mission is to help companies develop and cherish their employees via reading.
We launched in Ukraine and had good traction servicing dozens of companies (Abbott, Unilever, AirSlate, Red Bull, Kernel, Waze, Yves Rocher, Philips, etc.) and thousands of readers before Russia invaded, but the war impacted us drastically.
We did survive and with a help of grant support from 7Wings and Google, Book Box is now entering the transformation stage.
Old Book Box: corporate library with paperback books operating in Ukraine only.
New Book Box: corporate eReading (ebooks and audiobooks) app servicing companies globally.
For that reason, the next step for us is to develop the app MVP, thus, our first priority is to find a team member to drive eReading app design development.
Responsibilities:
– Lead mobile design development.
– Present and complete optimum guidelines for workflow and visuals.
– Craft streamlined user experiences.
– Diagnose technical issues with interaction and work with engineers to resolve them.
– Produce multiple concepts and prototypes, knowing when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail, and when to make low-fi sketches and prototypes.
– Define user flows, storyboards, wireframes and detailed visual specifications to describe the user experience and communicate with peers and stakeholders.
– Draft and maintain content including visual assets, interface language, product education materials, navigational nomenclature and other content throughout application experiences.
Requirements:
– 5+ years of experience designing mobile products.
– Proficiency with product design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Sketch, XD, Jira, Miro, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar software, especially using symbols, styles, and library files.
– You have a portfolio that you can share with us.
– Ownership of multiple features and being able to handle your workload independently.
– Up to date with the latest UI trends, techniques, technologies, and competitor products.
– Excellent communication skills and be able to illustrate designs and user experience visually and in writing.
– Very good command of both spoken and written English.
