Ukraine Reforms Architecture Foundation (URA Foundation) announces a selection of a qualified Translator to conduct written translations EN/UA, UA/EN

POSITION: Translator EN/UA, UA/EN (Full Time)

Ukraine Reforms Architecture Foundation (URA Foundation) is a non-governmental organization that provides operational support to Ukraine Reforms Architecture (URA) project. URA is a comprehensive technical assistance program developed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), in partnership with the European Union, to support important reform processes in Ukraine. It is financed from the Ukraine Stabilisation and Sustainable Growth Multi-Donor Account managed by the EBRD. Contributors to the MDA are Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States and the European Union, the largest donor.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Translator will perform written translation from English to Ukrainian and from Ukrainian to English on a full-time basis.

This is a full-time position.

• Written translations of business and policy documents, reports, presentations etc from English to Ukrainian and from Ukrainian to English related to the below topics (the list is not exhaustive):
  • Economic Policy
  • Financial services
  • Environment Protections Policy
  • Education Policy
  • Public Administration
  • Infrastructure Policy
  • Other policy and business related topics

• Occasional verbal translations from English to Ukrainian and from Ukrainian to English on a request.

Expected deliverables

• Timely submission of high-quality translations

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Relevant higher education
• 1+ year of professional experience
• Proficiency in written and verbal Ukrainian and English (advanced level).
• Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office

Duration of assignment 

Assignment is expected to begin asap last until 31.08.2022 with a possibility to continue the assignment subject to availability of funding. The assignment envisages 2 months’ probation period.
