What will you do?

  • Help with travel arrangements:

    – Hotels & Airbnbs – look for hotels/apartments according to the specified parameters;
    – Flights – look for appropriate flights, airports, tickets, help rescheduling flights if needed;

  • Managing Luba’s schedule:

    – Personal – schedule calls, meetings, etc.;
    – YouTube – help with content posting and filming schedules;
    – Help with Instagram posting schedule;
    – Help with scheduling interviews with guests;
    – Remind Luba about important upcoming events or important emails;

  • Help with managing Instagram accounts (of Luba & her brand’s product):

    – write Instagram posts based on the content that is presented in Luba’s video (be able to edit texts and advise on photos/pictures for that post);
    – reply to messages on Instagram Direct, respond quickly to comments and questions from users of Instagram, YouTube;
    – comment on other people’s posts to grow audience, etc.;

  • Transcribe audio to text from a YouTube video, edit the text, and send it to Luba for approval;

  • Conduct research on topics provided by Luba (personal & business research related to business, health, blogging, etc. topics);

  • Luba needs your help with managing her inbox (sort emails, reply to letters);

  • Search for new interesting people for Luba’s blog (coordinate them & communicate with them);

  • Luba might need your help with hiring processes (i.e. she’ll ask you to find a thumbnail editor or to just communicate the needs with the video editor);

  • Manage to get the video from the editor, uploading it, writing a description, and putting tags (Luba will show you the instructions);

  • Managing and automating simple processes.

Requirements

  • Fluent English – both verbal and written (for some business needs, but also sometimes it’s easier for Luba to explain something in English rather than in Russian, so you’d better be able to understand her);
  • You are an absolute champion of organizing & planning – you know how to plan all tasks and are able to remind Luba herself of priority tasks;
  • Super attentive to details – you don’t miss a single comma in your documents or any detail regarding Luba’s preferences when choosing the hotel (by the way, as the second sentence in your cover letter please mention what is your dream destination for holidays);
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions in order to save your own & Luba’s time;
  • Willingness to help – you dream of working with a top blogger and want to help her organize personal and work processes; desire to solve problems and figure anything out;
  • Ability to structure information and take the main idea out of a large amount of data in order to present the most important findings to Luba;
  • Great communication skills;
  • Openness to learning quickly and growing by mastering your skills and obtaining new ones that you don’t have yet;
  • Resourcefulness – you’re not afraid of unusual tasks and able to find the most creative solutions;
  • Proactivity – you do not sit idle, but ask to add more tasks to your schedule;
  • Independence and ability to make your own decisions without being constantly supervised;
  • Ability to adjust to EST time zone in December (it means to have working hours from 16:00 Moscow time) and to PST starting from January (it means to have working hours from 19:00 Moscow time).

Not necessary but nice to have

  • Graphic Design skills (ability to use Adobe Photoshop / Adobe Illustrator, or any other design software) or at least a great interest in the field of design;
  • Be interested in creativity, content generation, and social media (Instagram, YouTube);
  • Be interested in generating ideas for new YouTube videos;
  • Be interested in outreach tasks (brainstorm ideas on who you can contact, to whom you can sell Luba’s brand partnerships, etc.);
  • Be interested in lead generation (conducting research about particular companies).

But who said that you can't be a blogger and still combine your favorite hobby with business tasks? This is what bloggers from Silicon Valley do, and today we are looking for an assistant for one of these bloggers - Luba Yudasina!

Luba is not only a creator of entertainment and education (!) content but also an entrepreneur and opera singer (WOW!), who lives in the Bay Area, California. In her YouTube channel - Life of Luba - she talks about entrepreneurship, tech, and lifestyle. Luba also has an Instagram, where you can follow along her journey! (Check her "Singing" highlight, it's mesmerizing!).

Regarding her entrepreneurial work, Luba is the founder of Loka - the company that helps to hire top Eastern European Engineers.

However, Luba wasn't always a blogger and entrepreneur. At the age of 17, she left Belarus to study Chemical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Waterloo in Canada. Further, she had been working as a Software Engineer, Chief of Staff, and Product Manager for 6 years in tech companies like Airbnb and Yelp. Such a person to learn from!
