MHP was founded as a single enterprise in 1998. Today, MHP is an international company in the food and agrotechnology sector with production facilities in Ukraine and the Balkans and subsidiaries in the Netherlands, the UK, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other EU countries. The company is the largest taxpayer in the agricultural sector and is among the top five investors in the country. Its shares are listed on the London Stock Exchange.
As a culinary company, MHP develops over 15 food brands, including «Наша Ряба», «Апетитна», «Легко!», «Бащинський», “Skott Smeat”, “РябChick”, etc. To ensure Ukrainians always have access to high-quality, delicious food, MHP, in partnership with others, has launched various retail networks: «Мʼясомаркет», «Їжа Свіжа» and safe, tasty fast-food outlets under the “Döner Market” brand.
MHP comprises 11 crop-growing enterprises, 3 feed factories, 3 biogas complexes, and 17 grain storage facilities. In 2019, the company embraced a new strategic direction and initiated its transformation into a culinary company.
MHP's structure includes a Culinary Center that combines resources and expertise for every step of new product creation — from idea development and pilot production to sensory lab tasting. All its locations are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, and the team comprises some of the top experts in food technology. The center also hosts a Culinary School. Employees from non-culinary fields are trained to work with food products there.
The company operates a robust culinary production of ready-to-eat meals. Product quality is ensured through a multi-level quality and safety control system. MHP has a well-developed laboratory research sector. It comprises 37 in-house laboratories. These laboratories perform more than 500 advanced tests covering all aspects of agricultural activities.
During the full-scale war, the company did not halt its transformation process and considers supporting Ukraine's economy and food security as its key mission.
The guiding value system at MHP is called Dealsophy, a merge of two important concepts — action and philosophy — that define MHP’s approach to business and corporate culture. This philosophy means values demonstrated through actions. This approach emphasizes that the company's values are not just declared in words but are consistently embodied in concrete actions and results. It is a philosophy where thinking and doing go hand in hand to turn ideas into reality. At MHP, values are not merely discussed, they are practiced daily.
At MHP, it is understood that growth is only possible through change. The company brings together people who are ready to evolve and advance professionally. MHP employees embrace transformation and innovation and learn and share knowledge and experience constantly. This collaborative approach drives the creation of unique products and solutions that have no counterparts on the market.
At MHP, teamwork is essential for achieving shared, mutually beneficial outcomes inside and outside the company. The team is committed to listening and understanding each other’s needs, fostering open communication. MHP employees exchange information, expertise, and resources to achieve a collective result that surpasses the sum of individual contributions. Additionally, MHP collaborates with numerous external partners to implement a variety of business and socially beneficial projects.
MHP actively uses the OKR (Objectives and Key Results) system. It helps set goals and create plans for their implementation. Every employee must be aware not only of their goals but also of the goals of top management and their colleagues. It fosters synergy in achieving common results. Moreover, everyone is focused on discovering ways to accomplish their goals, rather than providing reasons why it can't be done.
For MHP, accountability starts with the global impact of its business. The company supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukrainians in need of assistance. The MHP employees are always willing to uphold agreements, carry out their tasks conscientiously, admit mistakes, and focus on rectifying them. At MHP, mistakes are viewed not as failures but as opportunities for growth and improvement. Each employee understands that their actions influence not only their professional success and the efficiency of the business but also the food security of the country.
Honesty in business is a cornerstone for MHP. The company adheres to transparent processes in its interactions with partners and employees, pays fair salaries, and fulfills its tax obligations diligently. Openness also permeates the internal culture. The MHP employees can give and receive feedback aimed at their personal and professional development.
Each employee at the company undergoes a unique lifecycle. They get to know the organization, grow as professionals, contribute to the business’s success, and find fulfillment in their work.
MHP has a spacious and cozy office in Kyiv. There is a well-lit separate area that always creates ideal conditions for productive work. Every employee can find a comfortable place to work there. There are also open spaces, small meeting rooms, and silent rooms where everyone can work in peace.
The large underground parking lot was converted into a shelter at the onset of the full-scale war. It was equipped with workspaces where employees could continue working during air alerts.
MHP provides employees with transportation to the office from various parts of the city. The transfer schedule is flexible. The employees can choose from several available time slots.
The company has numerous assets across Ukraine and offices in different regions. Each of them adheres to the high space organization standards established by the head office. In particular, all MHP offices are designed in a similar style.
MHP offers three work models: offline, online, and travel-based. The travel-based work model involves frequent business trips and is typically used by specialists who regularly visit production sites or sales points, such as sales managers, trainers, and psychologists. Remote work is mostly available for analysts whose tasks do not require office presence. All other white-collar employees work from the office. They also have an opportunity to take two remote days per week.
MHP has created its ecosystem of Telegram channels. All announcements about internal and external company events, job openings, competitions, innovations, and other important information are posted there. The largest channel Together We Are Strong united most of the company's employees. In addition to this channel, there are 15 more that unite teams by interests and business areas. Anyone can join the channels with the help of various chatbots that also contain useful information for employees about salaries, vacations, sick leave, access to internal services, etc. In general, the company's communications are structured in such a way that all the necessary information is available directly on each employee's smartphone.
The employee training center is a large structural unit of the company, encompassing various educational programs and tools. First of all, MHP has its LMS (Learning Management System) managed by a dedicated team. This system allows employees to complete a range of online courses focused on corporate competencies, team integration, and various internal policies and processes. Learners have the option to select the training format — recorded or live with an instructor — and filter courses by topic, duration, etc.
Each employee has access to professional training. It allows them to enhance their qualifications and acquire new skills to improve their performance, get promotions, or take on a new position. MHP even offers financial support for employees seeking a second higher education to specialize in a particular field and grow within the company.
To develop top-tier specialists, MHP’s employee training center, with the assistance of external contractors and experts, runs its schools and offers programs that span several months. There is already a business analyst school as well as an agronomy school. It focuses on the specific skills needed for work directly at MHP. A similar school for HR professionals is going to open soon.
One of the unique points of pride for MHP’s training center is the meat sommelier school. This one-of-a-kind profession was developed by the company. A clear understanding of the necessary skills and how and where to train such specialists was required. A meat sommelier needs to possess not only excellent communication skills for successful interaction with customers but also culinary expertise and knowledge to recommend dishes that can be made from the products purchased at the Meat Market.
This is how the idea for the project emerged. MHP received recognition for it in 2023 as part of the HR-Brand Ukraine award. The company created a simulation-based training store where individuals with no prior experience could acquire the basic knowledge needed to become a meat sommelier in just five days. The training includes topics such as the store's operations, the business processes a sommelier deals with, proper product handling while adhering to quality and safety standards, equipment operations, the cash register, etc.
MHP places great emphasis on the development of its leaders. For such teams, development programs are created based on feedback from performance assessments. These programs typically last from 3 to 8 months and consist of individual modules and inter-module tasks. This method ensures a thorough focus on enhancing particular corporate competencies. The results of this team training are measured during the next performance evaluation cycle. Even the MHP top management team participates in a development program based on the assessment results.
At MHP, employees not only have the opportunity to learn but also to share their knowledge and mentor colleagues. There is a special program that matches employees who want to become mentors with those seeking mentorship support. Additionally, the company actively develops an internal trainers’ institute. A group of employees with a teaching background will deliver lectures to colleagues on topics they are experts in.
The company cares about the development of its employees. A key part of it is the assessment of their competencies. To support it, MHP has implemented a comprehensive employee assessment system 👇
MHP has a corporate Health program. It includes annual medical check-ups, access to medical insurance and services of a corporate doctor, consultations with various specialists, and specialized treatments. Additionally, there is a Sports program that offers employees the opportunity to participate in various sports activities: running events, team outings for fishing, etc.
Special attention is given to employees' mental health at MHP. The Wellbeing program was introduced back in 2019. With the onset of the full-scale invasion, the number of initiatives to support the team’s mental well-being has increased significantly.
Today, the mental health department comprises three groups of psychologists with diverse qualifications. The first group operates in the central office and focuses not only on providing counseling but also on developing methodologies. The second group consists of psychologists who work with employees in the regions. The third group, formed in response to current needs, includes specialists who support demobilized employees and help them readjust to civilian work and life.
At MHP, we also organize numerous educational events aimed at raising employees' awareness of their mental health needs. We prepare them to cope with stressful situations, teach conflict resolution, and help them manage their emotions. These can include training courses, workshops, art therapy, mediation, facilitation, and other team-building activities.

Participants gain not only a platform to apply their knowledge but also the chance to visit the company’s advanced enterprises, establish professional connections, and find inspiration for their development.
For future technical specialists, agronomists, and technologists, MHP organizes regular excursions to its enterprises. This is an opportunity for young people to immerse themselves in the operations of the company, see how ideas are implemented in practice, and understand what makes their future profession in demand.
The most active and talented students involved in MHP projects can join internal development programs. A team-building event has been recently organized for students from the dual education program. It included an expedition to climb Mount Hoverla. During this trip, a session was held where students discussed ways to develop and expand their initiatives. Additionally, a technical hackathon was conducted in collaboration with the business accelerator MHP Ideas Bank.
