Our client is looking for a skilled software engineer to join their London team, where contributions will have a significant impact. As a rapidly growing company with over 200 employees, they need a motivated, adaptable self-starter who thrives in a small, fast-paced, and dynamic entrepreneurial setting. The new hire will join the Research Tech team, collaborating with colleagues in Boston and London on new projects and existing applications, closely partnering with the Research business vertical.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support software as required by the business. This includes integrating existing internal applications and data sources into the new Datawarehouse
- Maintaining and improving the existing codebase based on guidelines set by the team management
- Working in a collaborative team environment with lots of pairing
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial experience as a software engineer
- 5+ years of experience working in python (python 3+)
- Proficient in designing, developing, and managing APIs
- Strong database design and querying skills preferably in MySQL
- 2+ years of working in ADF (Azure data factory)
- Experience working in agile setup
- Genuine passion for solving complex problems through programming
Nice to have
- Understanding of agile processes, esp. Scrum
- Exposure to automated testing frameworks
- Experience with SQLAlchemy
- Experience working with Php
