What project we have for you

The Asset Manager will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of IT assets within our organization, including both hardware and software components. This role is critical for improving asset management processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, optimizing asset utilization, and supporting overall IT operations. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in IT Asset Management (ITAM), global experience in this field, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT Asset Management strategy covering both hardware and software assets.
  • Lead the enhancement of asset management processes.
  • Define policies, standards, and instructions for asset management to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from acquisition to disposal.
  • Ensure accurate tracking, recording, and reporting of all hardware and software assets.
  • Continuously review and enhance asset management processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices and industry standards (e.g., ITIL) to mature the organization’s asset management capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing agreements, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Maintain and manage the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Asset Management register.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to optimize asset procurement and maintenance.
  • Negotiate and oversee contracts related to hardware and software assets.
  • Manage IT assets on a global scale, ensuring consistency and compliance across international and domestic locations.
  • Work closely with IT teams and other departments to ensure alignment and effective management of IT assets.
  • Provide training and support to staff on asset management policies and procedures.
  • Develop and manage budgets for IT assets, including forecasting and tracking expenses and optimizing costs.
  • Generate and analyze reports on asset utilization, TCO, lifecycle status, compliance, and other key metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.

What you need for this

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT asset management.
  • Proven ability to execute strategic asset management processes successfully.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with IT asset management systems.
  • Knowledge of ITIL: Understanding and experience working with ITIL principles.
  • Skills: High level of organizational and communication skills, with the ability to think analytically.
  • ITIL Foundation or Practitioner certification would be a plus.
  • Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or similar certification would be a plus.
