Construction Engineer at IOM Ukraine

Nature of consultancy:

Under the overall supervision of the IOM Chief of Mission, direct supervision of the CBMM Programme Coordinator and the overall coordination and oversight of the CBMM Programme Specialist, the Consultant will implement the tasks related to the provision of expertise on technical standards of construction and refurbishment.

Tasks:

• Provision of advisory services on the technical and procurement standards and procedures governing upgrading of the state facilities in accordance with the EU best practices.
• Provide expertise to IOM during the procurement of the services for technical construction works of the buildings, including the development of the TOR for this type of works.  
• Provide IOM with regular status reports, including recommendations for future actions and cost estimates, upon completion of visits.
• General supervision and monitoring assistance in construction/refurbishment-related activities.
• Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Engineering, Architecture Construction or related field;
• A minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in designing and/or managing construction engineering projects;
• Experience in the field of technical supervision with valid certification will be considered as asset;
• Fluent Ukrainian language. Good knowledge of English will be considered as asset
