SkyUp Airlines is a private, family-owned airline from Ukraine, founded in June 2017 and commencing operations in May 2018. The airline focuses on making aviation accessible through a hybrid model of low-cost scheduled and charter flights. It quickly became Ukraine's second-largest airline by passenger volume, operating a fleet of 15 Boeing 737 aircraft and serving over 2.5 million passengers in 2022.
SkyUp positions itself as an international brand with Ukrainian roots, emphasizing innovation and democratic pricing. The airline has adapted its business model to wartime constraints, with a significant portion of its activities dedicated to ACMI wet-leasing contracts for other airlines. It also provides charter flights for various organizations and scheduled flights to numerous destinations. In 2024, SkyUp plans to expand its operations to 59 countries, continuing to prioritize reliability, comfort, and safety in passenger air transportation.
