Motion/Graphic Designer at Kyiv Post

The Motion/Graphic Designer plays a key role in producing Kyiv Post’s multimedia products and reports to both the Multimedia Head and Digital Head. The Motion/Graphic Designer designs and produces high quality motion and graphics to be used in videos, webinars, presentations, marketing and social media materials. This role also conceptualizes, designs and executes the production of video and visual content and other digital products. 

Responsibilities

• Collaborates closely with Multimedia Editor and Digital Head on creative, strategy, content and clients on developing video and other digital concepts and projects.
• Edits together video footage and delivers final animations for web, social media, live webinars and print products..
• Designs and delivers high quality motion graphics and visuals optimized for video/web/social media dissemination.
• Selects, edits, and incorporates third party content (stills, footage, music, graphics, etc.) as needed.
• Works directly with editors, videographers, marketers, print journalists and photographers, ensuring that graphics meet quality standards and present accurate information
• Tracks and implements new content trends and technologies to ensure that Kyiv Post’s output remains on the cutting edge.

Professional Experience

• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically After Effects, Premiere, Lightroom, and Adobe Photoshop required.
• Ability to present concepts and data for a general audience using multiple forms of media (video, animation, stills, graphics, etc.).
• At least 2 years of experience working as a motion graphics or graphic designer

• Experience guiding multimedia projects from conception through completion.
• Self-motivated and comfortable with a high level of autonomy.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask
• High attention to detail
• English language skills required to professionally communicate and present ideas
