Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is currently looking for WASH/Shelter/NFI Officer to support PAH activities aimed to enhance localization effort.

About PAH:
Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is an international non-governmental organization providing humanitarian and development aid worldwide since 1992. So far, the interventions have been carried out in 46 different countries. By possessing long-standing expertise in the implementation of projects in WASH, FSL, Protection, as well as Nutrition and Education, PAH concentrates its global activities on ensuring sustainable development of regions suffering from consequences of armed conflicts, natural disasters, climate change and others humanitarian crises.
PAH has been present in Ukraine since August 2014 delivering humanitarian aid to the most vulnerable of the conflict-affected population. PAH provides assistance to internally displaced people, elderly, children and other vulnerable population groups. PAH is currently working in the sectors of FSL, protection, WASH and Shelter.

•Coordinate and oversee implementation of WASH, Shelter and NFI activities carried out both directly and through implementing partners across PAH operational areas
•Supervise, support and coordinate the work of a minimum of five implementing partners, ensuring activities are implemented in line with project plans, technical standards and donor requirements
•Provide technical guidance to partners on beneficiary targeting, registration and verification processes
•Review and support development of BoQs and technical specifications for WASH and Shelter/NFI repair and rehabilitation activities implemented both directly and by partners
•Provide continuous technical support and quality assurance to partner teams to ensure effective and timely implementation
•Support partners in organizing beneficiary registration and selection processes using KoboCollect or similar tools
•Coordinate planning and implementation of WASH/Shelter/NFI activities with partners and relevant PAH program teams
•Monitor partners’ implementation progress and provide regular feedback and recommendations to project management
•Participate in needs assessments in project operational areas together with partners
•Maintain regular coordination with implementing partners, local authorities, institutions and affected communities
•Ensure proper collection, review and archiving of project documentation and reports submitted by partners
•Represent PAH in relevant coordination meetings and support partner engagement in cluster and sector coordination mechanisms
•Conduct regular monitoring visits to partner project sites across Ukraine
•Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor
Qualifications and Experience
•Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Supply and Sanitation Engineering, Heating and Energy Systems, Architecture, Construction Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline
•Additional qualifications related to WASH, Shelter, NFI, renewable energy, or infrastructure rehabilitation are an asset.
•Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position within the humanitarian, development, or infrastructure sector.
•Experience in WASH, Shelter, and/or NFI infrastructure interventions is required.
•Experience in the rehabilitation of water supply, sanitation, heating, public, or residential facilities is an asset.
•Experience supporting assessments, beneficiary targeting, project implementation, and monitoring activities
.•Experience working with contractors, local authorities, implementing partners, or community representatives is desirable.
•Basic understanding of humanitarian assistance and emergency response programming is an advantage.
•Basic to intermediate English (minimum B1); higher proficiency is considered an asset.Core Competencies

•Familiarity with beneficiary registration and data collection tools (e.g., KoboCollect) is an asset.
•Understanding of humanitarian principles, standards, and accountability mechanisms.
