Position Summary

Momentum Wheels for Humanity (Momentum) seeks a Ukraine Warehouse Management System Development &  Information Technology (IT) Consultant to improve the already developed warehouse management system for Momentum’s Assistive Technology Hub (AT Hub); create and integrate reports functional to the warehouse management system; maintain, and update the warehouse management system as needed, including improvement of the frontend. The warehouse management system was developed with the C# (.Net Core platform) programming language. The web application framework utilizes ASP.NET Core MVC. The data access technology utilizes Entity Framework Core; The database engine utilizes PostgreSQL. The source control utilizes git. Deployment utilizes AWS, and Docker; The front end utilizes HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. The Ukraine Warehouse Management IT consultant will work under the direction of the Ukraine Country Director and the Ukraine Senior AT Hub Coordinator, and in close coordination with Momentum’s AT Hub team in Ukraine as well as the Ukraine Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Coordinator. Only candidates with work authorization in Ukraine will be considered; relocation benefits will not be provided. The Ukraine Warehouse Management IT Consultant should be based in Ukraine, preferably L’viv.

Expected Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Ukraine Country Director and Ukraine Senior AT Hub Coordinator, the Ukraine Warehouse Management System Development & IT Consultant will have the following responsibilities:

  • Quickly resolve problems/ inaccuracies/inconsistencies with the warehouse management system which are identified by the AT Hub team.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for warehouse management system operations, both internal and external
  • Closely cooperate with the Ukraine Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Coordinator on the creation and integration of reporting features that are functional to the warehouse management system.
  • Ensure a friendly full-stack user interface by improving the front end of the system.
  • Recommend streamlining and improving the warehouse management system, including data security protocols that comply with national standards and data security regulations.
  • Ensure the warehouse management system meets Momentum’s AT Hub operational and project monitoring criteria.
  • Provide maintenance support to the warehouse management system and provide ongoing technical support on its functioning.
  • Provide regular updates to the Ukraine Country Director, Ukraine Senior AT Hub Coordinator, and Momentum HQ on the progress of improvements and updates made for the warehouse management system based on the scope of work.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least three (3) to five (5) years of relevant work experience for those with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and/or engineering, information technology, business/finance, or other relevant fields
  • At least five (5) to seven (7) years for those without a bachelor’s degree in any relevant fields
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing (developing, adapting, and implementing) inventory management systems
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills related to inventory management system / database development and management such as programming languages (C++, C#, PHP, Python, jQuery, JavaScript, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and other languages (CSS, HTML, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory management
  • Ability to set clear goals and manage progress toward them with timely completion
  • Ability to work well independently and with a team
  • Excellent and clear interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with good organization and prioritization skills
  • Written and spoken fluency in Ukrainian; advanced written and spoken English abilities
