Legal Specialist at TeamDev (IT)

We’re growing our Legal Department and searching for a peer who values autonomy, personal ownership, proactivity, and sharp, meticulous attention to detail. Rather than just completing tasks, we focus on impactful results and always look for the smartest way to achieve them. For us, the key is a balance between strict legal rules and flexibility.

What you will do

• Prepare agreements and compliance documents both based on templates and from scratch.
• Review clients’ edits to agreements, propose a negotiation strategy, suggest updates, and provide corresponding comments.
• Search for information, study international law acts and standards (e.g. AI, data privacy). 
• Analyze third-party license agreements for products and services.
• Provide analysis for open-source licenses.
• Manage the formation of compliance processes.

Knowledge and skills required

• At least 2 years of experience as a Legal Specialist or related position in the IT industry.
• Higher legal education.
• Upper-intermediate English level (reading, writing, speaking), knowledge of business emailing rules.
• Understanding of software development processes and technologies.
• High level of digital literacy: confident use of Google services and AI tools, information research skills.
• Deep understanding of contract law, IP law principles in international practice (US, EU), and software licensing.
• Contract negotiation experience.
• Autonomy and proactivity, understanding the process-oriented approach.

Would be a plus

• Experience working in a product company.
• Experience analyzing open-source licenses.
