Partnerships and Business Development Manager at Connecta Projects

Connecta Projects is a newly launched business unit within the Connecta Consulting Group,  a Ukrainian social impact group dedicated to Ukraine’s reconstruction, European integration, and international cooperation.

Connecta Projects sits at the intersection of development finance and project advisory. We help Ukrainian municipalities, businesses, SMEs, and public institutions access and benefit from international funding and cooperation. In practice, this means developing funding applications, structuring bankable projects, preparing grant and financing applications, advising on DFI and IFI instruments, and building the partnerships that make complex cross-border initiatives happen.

Being new means two things at once. You join a group with established operational processes, financial infrastructure, and a track record of delivery and at the same time, you get in early enough to shape how Connecta Projects works, what it stands for, and where it goes. We are looking for people who find that combination exciting.

We are currently opening several Account Manager positions across seniority levels — from Junior Manager to Senior Manager — because we are building the team from the ground up and are genuinely open to strong profiles at different stages of their careers. The right level and scope of the role will be defined together based on your background and ambitions.

What skills and experience will be valuable:

• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in account management, client relations, or business development. 
• We are opening multiple positions and welcome applications across seniority levels: if you have solid fundamentals and a strong track record, we want to hear from you regardless of whether you are a Junior Manager or a Senior Manager. 
• Experience identifying and approaching prospective clients — including international companies, Ukrainian businesses, and institutional partners — and presenting services clearly and persuasively.
• Experience coordinating proposals or applications in partnership with external organisations (joint tenders, consortia, or similar) will be a strong advantage.
• Strong internal coordination skills: the ability to translate client needs into clear tasks and priorities for the team.
• Excellent written and spoken English. You will conduct meetings, lead negotiations, and work on complex documents in English regularly. Ukrainian proficiency required.
• Comfort navigating international and cross-sector environments. Prior exposure to development finance, international cooperation, or institutional clients is an advantage, but not a requirement. Skills and mindset come first.
• High level of self-organisation, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.

Key responsibilities:

• Proactively identify and engage prospective clients, including international businesses, Ukrainian companies, global consulting firms, and institutional partners,  and pitch Connecta Projects’ services effectively.
• Lead or coordinate joint tender applications with partner organisations, managing the relationship and process from expression of interest through to submission.
• Manage ongoing client relationships across Connecta Projects’ portfolio.
• Build and maintain a structured client and partner database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of interactions, pipeline status, and follow-up actions.
• Track the business development pipeline and prepare regular status reports for internal review.
• Act as the bridge between clients and the internal team: capture client needs, translate them into actionable briefs, and ensure follow-through on commitments.
• Support the development of pitch materials, capability statements, and proposals tailored to specific clients or opportunities.
• Contribute to business development strategy as the company scales.
