Our client is one of the world’s top 10 investment companies with headquarters in Great Britain with branch offices in the US and Hong Kong.
This is a rare opportunity to gain a large-scale professional experience within one of the largest global investment management firms and help our client identify and realise AWS cost savings.
The Client is actively deploying AWS CloudWatch agents onto its EC2 and RDS estate to allow to capture of performance metrics. This data should allow to assess the EC2 and RDS instances across the Client’s estate and right-size/downgrade AWS instance types to realise cost savings.
You will help our FinOps to analyze, identify and implement efficient strategies to reduce expenses associated with the use of AWS services, communicate with internal stakeholders on this matter and organize transparent reporting using Power BI.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with resource owners to enhance their focus on Cloud costs
- Assisting the Client in visualizing strategies for cost optimization using Power BI
- Creating operations registries and reports using Excel
- Support to our FinOps in ticket generation (with follow-up) to implement AWS Right-Sizing
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience working as a technical project manager
- Experience working with AWS environment (EC2, RDS, S3)
- Basic theoretical knowledge of business analysis and requirements engineering (background in business analysis)
- Experience in reporting using reporting tools
- Excellent Excel skills/report generation skills
- Excellent English
- Customer-facing experience
- Analytical ability
- Skills in managing requirements throughout the project
- Ability to skillfully convert vague and unstructured information into distinct requirements
Nice to have
- AWS Certification
- Experience in managing and optimizing cloud costs for an organization
- Familiarity with the principles of Cloud Economics
- Professional BA certification
- Professional PM certification
