About Open Minds Institute
OMI was established by a group of professionals in the field of social and behavioural sciences, media, and AI technologies.
Recognising that various forms of disinformation & propaganda significantly intensify global animosity and conflicts, we decided to merge our knowledge and expertise to combat this issue.
Over the last year, OMI has become one of the central research hubs, advising governmental units on counter-influence strategies and propaganda, particularly in the context of Russia. In 2023 alone, we published 38 reports, mentioned by The NYT, The Guardian, The Times, etc.
Who we‘re looking for
OpenMinds is seeking a skilled and resourceful Marketing Specialist to join our team, focusing on innovative marketing tools for penetrating hard-to-reach regions such as authoritarian countries, zones of conflict, etc.
This is a truly unique role and an opportunity to contribute to Ukrainian information resistance as well as fight with authoritarian propaganda and disinformation. The role is crucial for exploring and establishing unconventional marketing channels and ensuring the effectiveness of our communication strategies.
In this position, you will:
- Identify and develop non-obvious marketing channels, leveraging messengers, social media networks, and other digital platforms;
- Build unconventional marketing funnels on platforms such as Telegram, WhatsApp, Viber, and through affiliate ad networks;
- Analyse marketing metrics to gauge campaign success and make data-driven decisions;
- Create and execute affiliate marketing strategies;
- Collaborate closely with our communication department to ensure information initiatives are alined with the broader organisational goals.
We are a perfect match if you have:
- Strong proficiency in any performance marketing channel, including campaign setup, management, and optimisation;
- Experience in affiliate marketing and a proven track record of developing and executing marketing strategies in various affiliate verticals;
- Ability to navigate and leverage non-traditional marketing channels (Telegram, Viber, WhatsApp, SMS, etc.);
- Deep understanding of marketing metrics and the ability to translate data into actionable insights;
- Excellent written and spoken English at a B2 level or higher;
- Creativity in problem-solving and a knack for identifying unique marketing opportunities.
