Corporate Partnerships manager at The Ukrainian Red Cross Society

The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) is looking for a Corporate Partnerships manager to join the Resource Mobilisation unit (RM unit).

In this position you will be responsible for working with corporate donors and partners.  You will contribute to attracting new and retaining existing corporate donors, building trusted relationships, managing the database, monitoring and improving the donation process, and launching fundraising campaigns.  This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our humanitarian efforts by attracting new donors and fostering partnerships with businesses.

The main mission of the RM unit is to build sustainable and trusting relationships with private donors (corporate and individuals), increasing public confidence in the Red Cross and providing the most convenient way to support the work of the URCS, with the objective to retain and grow the income from these donors so that the URCS can help as many needy people in Ukraine as possible.

Essential Tasks:

1. Donor Acquisition and Retention:
   • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential corporate donors, mainly in Ukraine
   • Manage, support, and develop fundraising activities in line with the corporate giving strategy.
   • Develop and implement strategies to attract new corporate partners.
   • Maintain strong relationships with existing donors, ensuring their continued support.
   • Establishing new contacts with corporate partners through calls, correspondence, social media, attending online and offline events, etc.
2. Proposal Development:
   • Create compelling and tailored fundraising proposals for corporate donors.
   • Collaborate with program teams to align funding opportunities with organizational priorities.
3. Event Management:
   • Plan and execute fundraising events in collaboration with corporate partners.
   • Coordinate sponsorship opportunities for corporate entities during Red Cross events.
4. Networking and Relationship Building:
   • Attend relevant industry events to network and build relationships with potential partners.
   • Represent the organization at meetings and presentations to showcase our impact and fundraising needs.
5. Communication:
   • Collaborate with the communication team to create engaging materials showcasing the impact of corporate partnerships (presentations, proposals, reports).
   • Effectively communicate the organization’s mission and goals to potential corporate donors.
   • Co-ordinate Employee giving campaigns and Cause Related Marketing campaigns.

 Requirements:

• University degree in marketing, business administration, management, communications, international relations, or a similar relevant field.
• Possession of a qualification in fundraising, marketing, management, or business.
• 2 years of proven work experience in a Sales/Marketing position or similar role (relevant experience in marketing, sales, working with large corporate partners is a plus).
• Experience working in an international organization, NGO, or in a corporate environment with an international scope.
• Demonstrated success in securing and maintaining corporate relations.
• Experience in data analysis and reporting.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships at all levels.
• Experience using a CRM system.
• Good negotiation, networking, and presentation skills as well as sociability.
• Strong drive for results: ability to meet and exceed goals.
• Knowledge of how to manage relationships with prospective donors, during and after receipt of funds, and maintain a high level of supporter care.
• Proficiency in MS Office and a good level of computer literacy.
• Ability to articulate the organization’s mission and fundraising needs effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Clarity, responsibility, deadline control.
• Demonstrated project management skills, which include budget management, planning, forecasting, and reporting.
• Knowledge of corporate social responsibility and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• Knowledge of the peculiarities of work in the charitable and humanitarian sector.
• Analytical and strategic thinking.
• Creative thinking to identify new opportunities for corporate support.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Languages:

• Fluent spoken and written Ukrainian.
• English (at least B2 level).
