Our client is a leading company in the UCaaS services and cloud solutions market. Their primary product enables the creation of a comprehensive communication system encompassing telephony, video conferences, chat rooms, file sharing, and management.
We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our Voice Applications development team, consisting of approximately eight developers. The role involves supporting and developing new functionality on our Linux-based VoIP server platform. This team provides many of the core services utilized by other teams responsible for client or front-end functionality.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support new functionalities for the VOIP server platform
- Contribute to system architecture and design
- Resolve ongoing technical challenges
- Ensure code quality and performance optimization
Requirements
- 3+ years of programming experience
- Knowledge and experience with C++17, including STL and BOOST
- Experience developing for Linux platforms, including server-side/back-end applications and daemons
- Proficiency in debugging on Linux (gdb), including analyzing coredumps
- Experience in Object-Oriented Programming, multithreaded applications (including various primitives for multithreaded applications), and network programming (sockets, TCP, UDP)
- Proficiency with Bash and Make
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Experience working within a large pre-existing codebase
- Experience collaborating with other developers and QA engineers
Nice to have
- Experience with protocols: SIP, RTP/RTCP/SRTP/SRTCP, WebRTC, AMQP
- Experience in debugging using tcpdump/Wireshark utilities
- Familiarity with Python
- Experience with libraries: libcURL, libsrtp, Google Protobuf
