The mission of UAMH is to fight for the mental health of our nation. We teach Ukrainians to listen to themselves and not be afraid to seek help from psychologists when they need support. Through our network of partners, we create psychoeducational content and provide free psychological counseling for vulnerable populations. The Operations and Finance Director of UA Mental Help is a dynamic leadership position responsible for guiding and advancing the mission and strategic goals of our nonprofit organization. We are seeking a highly motivated, visionary, and results-oriented individual to lead our team, foster growth, and make a positive impact on the communities we serve.
Responsibilities: Finance:
- Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the Executive Director and program heads.
- Oversee financial planning, reporting, and analysis to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and guidelines.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for the Board of Directors, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and grant reporting.
- Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
Operations:
- Oversee the daily operations of the organization, including program management, procurement and administrative functions.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to operations and human resources.
- Oversee risk management and implement strategies to mitigate operational risks.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
Program Implementation:
- Work closely with program managers to develop program plans, set goals, and monitor progress.
- Oversee the implementation and management of all programs to ensure they are delivered effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure that program activities comply with donor requirements and organizational standards.
- Facilitate communication between program staff, ensuring alignment and coordination.
Strategic Planning:
- Work with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop and implement the organization’s strategic plan.
- Provide financial, operational, and programmatic insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor progress towards strategic goals and recommend adjustments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance and operations management, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- High level of responsibility and ethics.
