Nova Ukraine is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine and raising awareness about Ukraine in the United States and throughout the world. Thanks to your generous donations, we fund a variety of projects to help the people of Ukraine and to strengthen Ukraine’s democratic society. The Nova Ukraine team and volunteers have been working tirelessly to help those in need. We greatly appreciate the overwhelming support from the community. Since the full-scale war, we have already handed over 100 million dollars worth of humanitarian aid.
We are looking for a motivated candidate to strengthen our Back office team and join our mission.
Responsibilities:
– reviewing and validating reports submitted by grant beneficiaries to ensure compliance with grant requirements
– conducting thorough examinations of financial documents, receipts, and supporting evidence provided by beneficiaries
– verifying the accuracy and completeness of financial data presented in reports
– assessing the adherence of expenditure to budget allocations and grant guidelines
– identifying discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in reporting and addressing them promptly
– collaborating with grant management teams to clarify any unclear or ambiguous information in reports
– documenting findings and observations, and preparing detailed reports summarizing validation results
– providing recommendations for improving reporting processes and enhancing compliance measures
– communicating validation outcomes to relevant stakeholders, including grantors and beneficiaries, as needed
– ensuring that all validation activities are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and organizational policies
Required Skills:
– fundamental understanding of Ukrainian tax legislation
– previous experience of working with documents from 1 year
– experience in a similar position is welcome
– experience with Google Sheets, Salesforce
– English language proficiency at Intermediate (B1) level and above
– attention to detail and desire to learn and develop in the chosen field
– ability to identify and resolve compliance issues
– excellent communication skills to effectively communicate internal audit findings
