Intellectual Property Protection Engineer at Carbominer

Carbominer is a Ukrainian startup that develops new technology for capturing carbon dioxide directly from the open air. Our first target customers are greenhouse operators who use CO2 injection to boost the growth of their crops.

We are looking for an Intellectual Property Protection Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating IP-related documents like patent applications, drafting agreements and licensing and confidentiality agreements.
• Analyzing technical details to assess the patentability of our innovations.
• Managing patent portfolios per key markets, including the preparations of FTO and submissions of patent applications.
• Obtaining legal counsel on IP disputes and potential infringements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align IP protection with our business strategy.
• Staying up-to-date with IP laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• A technical background and understanding of technical intricacies.
• Experience related to patent application preparation (experience with patent laws is a plus).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
